The Podcast With... is a weekly podcast hosted by three talented ladies. Each week either Julia, Liz, or Maura will research and present a story based on the titles of FRIENDS episodes. I was tasked with creating the logo and podcast cover art for the series as well as some additional merchandise. The design is based on the idea of stickers being layered onto the bottom of a skateboard to show the variety of topics covered on the show and each color represents a different host.

The canned art project required that we make up our own brand of canned drink, decide on our audience and create a brand identity for that audience. My drink was a space themed sparkling juice called Space Juice and was targeted at teens and young adults. I made designs for 6 different space themed flavors as well as packaging and merchandise for the brand.

the vote
For the 2020 election our class took part in the Get Out The Vote initiative and designed posters aimed to encourage people to vote. My design featured Bigfoot in the middle of the woods dropping off his mail in ballot since 2020 was the year we had more mail in ballots than ever due to COVID-19. The poster won an Honorable Mention in the 2020 Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Awards Competition. Only 13 winners were picked out of 159 entries.

We were asked to come up with new brochure design for the Slippery Rock University Art Department. We had to feature all of the majors and minors available in the department. I used the opportunity to create a brochure that folded out into a poster with a hand drawn pattern featuring the phrase "ART HARD," a phrase that you see written on whiteboards around the Art Building.

This is one of the first projects I worked on for my graphic design class at SRU. We were asked to read a fairytale and design a book cover. For The Girl With No Hands I designed with a limited color palette or red, white, and black. I made the cover for The Rainbow Crow by painting water color on paper and cutting out and collaging a feather-like pattern together before scanning it and finishing the design in inDesign.
